Are you an intern new to Decatur?
We are thrilled to invite Decatur's new corporate and industry interns to the June 2024 Intern Familiarization (FAM) Tour, a special half-day experience designed to introduce you to the vibrant community of Decatur. Hosted by Decatur Morgan County Tourism and the Morgan County Economic Development Association, this tour will showcase the best our town has to offer, including unique attractions, top local dining, diverse shopping options, and an insight into the lifestyle that makes our city a great place to live and work. Join us for a fun-filled journey where you'll meet fellow interns, network with local professionals, and start feeling at home in Decatur. We have exciting activities planned to ensure a memorable and enjoyable time. We can't wait to welcome you and show you around our wonderful town!
What to expect...

Our June 2024 FAM tour for new corporate and industry interns includes a tour of the Decatur Visitor's Center, charcuterie and mixology class at 609 Social Market & Provisions, a viewing of the townhomes at McGhee Square, a tour of the Cook Museum of Natural Science, a popcorn treat at Don's Mercantile, and a tour of the Historic Princess Theatre & Listening Room. We'll also enjoy a stroll down the shops of 2nd Ave with a quick stop by the new Fairfield Inn, a flight tasting at Cross Eyed Owl Brewery, dinner at Mellow Mushroom, a walk through Sonny Side Alley, and end back at the Visitor's Center.
